20 minute meals without the celebrity in your kitchen

Creating quick easy and delicious nutritious meals is everyone’s ideal. Arriving home to them sitting and waiting for you is the dream!

As a chef I finish up a days work, be it providing a cookery class or catering at an event, I sometimes feel less than enthused about re-entering the kitchen to cook myself up something wonderful. Meals that require minimal effort, time and ingredients, that still pack a punch both nutritionally and on the taste front are called upon time and time again.

The likes of Jamie Oliver has really brought to the fore the concept of creating meals in minutes. That said I’ve heard many stories of people having tried to recreate dishes only to find themselves way beyond their desired amount of time in the kitchen in the process!

For many people it’s the planning and preparation that is key. Having the store cupboard staples, picking up the required fresh ingredients without having to visit the store multiple times throughout the week and having a variety of options on hand that will truly satisfy the varied dietary requirements and taste preferences of the family is key to continued success.

Having come to end of the what for many is the longest month of the year, followed by the shortest, the make or break when it comes to creating new healthy habits and routines, it’s the ideal time to give your cookery skills a boost, extend your quick meal repertoire and pick up the tips, tricks and nutritional knowledge to underpin your desire to maintain (or potentially kick start) your healthier approach to food this year.

Not only that but you get to experience the aromas and flavours to extend the experience even further! A nutrition coach myself,  a nutritional therapist from the IINH will also be on hand to answer any extended nutritional queries you might have.

Our “20 meals in 20 minutes” course begins this March 6rd, every Wednesday evening from 7.30pm – 9.30pm in Killiney Co.Dublin. Over the four weeks I’ll demonstrate 20 meals which you can easily recreate, providing you with the recipes, shopping lists and all those added extra’s that you miss out on watching your favourite celebrity chef’s on TV!
